Clarity is always occurring

Inherent caring, kindness, consideration, and easeful relating is all a product of recognition of awareness in each short moment of clarity.

Count on the inherent stability of awareness to guide all actions. Life is much easier in each short moment of clarity.

Clarity is always occurring.

It's up to you

It's up to you.

With alert persistence, a natural commitment to resting as clarity is without effort. Right here and right now, wide open well-being in each moment. The natural presence and soothing energy of luminous clarity within all perceptions is who you are.

Rest until there is no one resting

Referencing objects, people, places, things, as being responsible for the reasons why we feel angry, controlling, depressed, even happy, are all references to a past based on a story of point of view. By describing and repeating these points of view over and over, they seem real based on cause and effect.

By keeping the focus on oneself and resting as awareness for short moments repeated many times, when we remember to do so, one experiences a gentleness and compassion by simply allowing everything to be as it is. We enjoy the innate well-being within our own experience.

The instinctive recognition of one's true identity is recognizing that who you are is not an accumulation of points of view, and that all points of view are empty and have no basis or support. The instinctive recognition of everything as the natural presence of the basic state is not only a recognition for oneself, but for everyone and everything else as well.

Rest until there is no one resting. Rest without the expectation of something happening.

Rest as awareness.
Enjoy the gentleness.
Confidence in the innate stability of who you are naturally unfolds in all respects.
Each moment is an opportunity.

Always open

Avoidance of relationship with people, places, things, time, and responsibilities equals avoidance of relationship with awareness.

Avoidance of relationship is the primary activity of involvement in point of view such as: judgement of others and self, self criticism , criticism of others, any blind involvement of all thoughts, emotions and experiences. The openness, stability and foundation of awareness is always free and loving with no reference to anything, yet includes everything.

Total openness is always open to contribution and care from others without defending a personal identity.

It is through awareness that we discover our true identity as never being apart or separate from the basic state. The only thing that exists is right here. Time, past, present, and future do not exist. The basic state of awareness is timeless and without description.

Life is here for us to enjoy, and live wisely, acting beneficially in each moment without contrivance. The enjoyment of every appearance of phenomena is simply the basic state itself, completely pure and empty and not separate from who you are.

True Essence

We can continue on enjoying the beauty and experience of life. Resting within our fundamental stability reveals the inherent nature of our true essence.

Within a swirl of points of views such as expectations, anger, and overwhelming feelings, we can know that our well-being is always unaffected by any of these appearances. We rely on the stability of awareness, that which never changes. Just like the mirror is unaffected by its appearances and does not try to change the variety of appearances within it, so too, awareness remains completely crystal-clear and unaffected. We are able to respond with great clarity in each short moment of rest.

No Stances

We don't need to take up a stance in awareness based on what we think. Awareness is completely indescribable and has never been limited by any boundaries or points of view. When we relax as the clarity of awareness we give ourselves the greatest gift of relief and simultaneously gain confidence in the fundamental stability and unwavering lucid clarity of that which never changes. All identity is the identity of the basic state of clarity.

Naturally understood

Every appearance, every thought, every emotion, every idea, every concept, every belief system, every method, every practice, every sensation, every circumstance, every person, every thing, can all be categorized as points of view. Everyone is aware. By taking a short moment of awareness and repeating that many times, one gains familiarity with a fundamental stability that is entirely wise, completely clear, and totally perfect. There is an instinctive recognition of who one is as the basic state of awareness where there is a full understanding experientially of the inseparability of the basic state and all points of view. There is no need to compare your experience to anyone else, there is no need to worry about points of view. Simply by relaxing when we remember to do so, everything is naturally understood.

An old and dear friend

There is no differentiation between any point to view that arises. Simply maintain awareness of perceptions as allies, arising as expressions of the true nature of reality. With no acceptance or rejection, like seeing an old and dear friend.

A beautiful metaphor from the Teaching;

The restful alertness of perceptual openness is like an ocean in these respects. It is like an ocean in that it is vast in extent. It is like an ocean in that it is not solid. It is unobstructed and profoundly deep. It is like an ocean in that it is immeasurable, impossible to fathom intellectually. It is like an ocean in that it is a single expanse and unsullied by extremes. It is like an ocean in that it is a spacious expanse, unimpeded and naturally clear. It is like an ocean in that the waves of perception are naturally free.

Everyone and everything

Why try to manage and control all your points of view when you can simply relax? In taking a short moment of rest, a short moment of clarity, a short moment of peace, a short moment of serenity, and repeating that as often as we remember to do so, we naturally gain confidence in the stability of the basic state of awareness. With this confidence comes the recognition of who we are as the indescribable, vast natural presence – inherent in your own experience. This recognition simultaneously reveals an understanding that everyone and everything is included.

It doesn't matter what you're thinking about. It doesnt matter what is "going on." It makes no difference if you are having all kinds of sensations or emotions. It doesn't matter what ideas you have about the basic state. Everything is completely fine as it is. Give yourself a break, relax when you remember to. Repeat resting many times. No need to do anything else. Benefit is in the relief you feel by no longer trying to manage and control points of view.

Two choices

In each moment we have two choices:

1. We can commit to our same old habits and stories and choose to support those through focusing on a particular set of viewpoints. These are comfortable because they are like well-worn shoes and we may not want to get rid of them because we are used to the way that they fit.

2. We can commit to changing old habits and focus on particular viewpoints by relaxing for a short moment of clarity and by allowing our points of view to be as they are without elaborating, indulging, or avoiding them. Suddenly, we have put on a new pair of shoes and experience immediate relief and benefit for ourselves. We see the impact that this choice makes to those around us as well.

Short moments of awareness, short moments of peace, short moments of rest, short moment of serenity, short moments of clarity. Whatever words you would like to use, relax as that which never changes and rely on this stability for your inherent goodness and wisdom in all speech and actions.

Wisdom speech

Happy New Year!

In relying on the wisdom of awareness, wisdom speech and wise action are naturally forefront.

The ability to know what is going on with anyone is clearly seen. A wide open view for the entire picture is taken into consideration before any word is spoken. Careful consideration as to what will be of most benefit in wisdom speech is always entirely supportive and empowering of others.

This beautiful wisdom speech is saturated with love, kindness, compassion, and caring for all parties involved. Upholding all people in their inherent goodness is the natural movement of the basic state of awareness.

Why is this so? In keeping the focus on yourself and not making other people wrong, relaxing as the natural presence of the basic state, you recognize yourself as who you truly are and instinctively recognize others as this one seamless expanse. Thus, your caring for others is natural without separation from yourself.
